Pet House Calls
At Matraville Veterinary Practice, we understand that sometimes it can be a challenge to bring your sick furry friend into our veterinary hospital.
It is for this reason, we are happy to offer a house call service where one of our veterinarians and as required, a veterinary nurse can come to your home.
This can apply especially to euthanasia cases where we try to do all we possibly can to make this experience as peaceful as possible for you and your loved pet.
If you are house bound and find it extremely difficult to get to our clinic with your pet and you would like to arrange a house call visit, then please contact us on 1300 MAT VET.
Home visitation
Home visitation applies when the pet owner is away from home and wants their pets looked after for a few hours a day. This would be suitable for pets who are particularly anxious when taken away from their home and a home visit would mean their feeding and exercise routine is not being disrupted. Generally best for low maintenance, caged or elderly pets.
If you don’t want to go to the trouble of using a pet day-care facility, then this type of service is very convenient. It saves time and is less stressful for your pet.
At Matraville Veterinary Practice we don’t offer a home visitation service as such but can make recommendations to other service providers who will be able to assist you with those particular needs for both you and your pet.

Note that home visitation services are not for all pets. Depending on their personality, a pet sitting or day care service may be more suitable.
